You have the right idea too - I went hours at last year's CR100 without seeing a soul. And that's a mental battle more than a physical one.Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17252702482054642021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8746539583557649047.post-31183645111439063402010-06-23T10:38:31.044-07:002010-06-23T10:38:31.044-07:00Great Post, Karen

I only have those “connections” that provide me with USEFUL information… primarily pertaining to running. If I didn't see the advantages of the online social network for the Texas Trail Nerds group, I'd quit FB altogether. I have a sincere passion to see our group blossom into something great, which obligates me to FB a little longer while a solid foundation is established. In other words, I understand your decision. You just created more time to run and spend with your family. Ultimately, those are the “connections” that really matter at the end of the day.

You're a more distinguished runner than I am, so please excuse me if I overstep my boundaries. I view ultra-running as two EQUAL parts; social and solo. I embrace every opportunity I have to run with anyone willing to slog through mileage with me. And when I run solo, I know there is as much mental preparation as there is physical training.Billhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10053201630674465650noreply@blogger.com
